The Health Center offers a compassionate continuum of care
Guided by Quaker principles that honor the dignity and intrinsic worth of each individual, Friends House Health Center is an 82-bed facility serving individuals in need of Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation. With a high staff-to-resident ratio, a dedicated team of professionals and very low staff turnover, it’s not surprising that the Health Center consistently receives high ratings from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. For the past two years, the Health Center has been rated the No. 1 Skilled Nursing Center in Montgomery County and ranked among the top three Skilled Nursing Centers in Maryland by the Office of Healthcare Quality.
The Health Center consists of two primary wings: Stabler Hall, for long-term care patients, and Thomas Hall, for rehabilitation patients. Services include:
- 24-hour skilled nursing services
- IV (intravenous) therapy
- In-house pharmacy
- Full-time dietician

- Partnership with MedStar Physicians Group for
follow-up care after a hospital discharge
