Founded on Quaker values and open to all, we’re located on 62 gently rolling acres with nature trails, a tranquil pond and two-acre community garden. Residents enjoy communal dining, a library, wellness center and gym, and the company of one another in a variety of activities, including creative arts and music programs. Plus, our shared future will only get brighter with a planned expansion currently underway. Ours is a welcoming community where people expand their horizons, cultivate new interests and make new friends.

Friends House is a fee-for-service Life Plan Community located in Sandy Spring, Maryland. We offer a full spectrum of residential and healthcare services for older adults — everything from Independent Living to Skilled Nursing. Now we’re expanding with spacious new apartment homes and beautiful cottages, as well as incredible updates to our amenities, like the state-of-the-art fitness center, activity spaces and exceptional new dining areas.
