Friends House is a non-profit retirement community managed by member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).   Located in Sandy Spring, Maryland, on sixty-two partially wooded and gently rolling acres in a rural setting, Friends House is only forty-five minutes from the Nation's capital.  It is comprised of sixty studio and forty one-bedroom apartments in a single story facility.  A carefully selected, well trained staff is dedicated to the comfort and well-being of the residents.  The Friends House apartment complex is a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) facility.
